2017 - Linux Mint 17.2 - How to verify the Cinnamon, KDE, Mate & XFCE ISO - July 5

I show  different ways to Verify the Linux Mint or Other Operating System ISO. You have to do that to Make SURE this ISO is not Corrupted when download it. This way it will work 100% of time when doing Operating System installation.
This Guide Works with ALL Operating System that Support Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera & Vivaldi Browser, I haven't test it in other Browsers.
To follow my guide I suggest to Use a torrent client like Qbittorrent:
https://www.qbittorrent.org it works 100% & this is the fastest & smartest way to download Big ISO images.

My Guide:

From GNU/Linux:

I will Verify Cinnamon, KDE, Mate & XFCE,
You decide which DE you want to download.
as an example I will use Cinamon Desktop.

Save everything to the Downloads folder:

1- linuxmint-18.2-cinnamon-64bit.iso
2- sha256sum.txt
3- sha256sum.txt.gpg

Open the Terminal and copy & paste each line at time & press enter:

cd Downloads

gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key A25BAE09

gpg --verify sha256sum.txt.gpg sha256sum.txt

sha256sum linuxmint-18.2-cinnamon-64bit.iso

KDE:

sha256sum linuxmint-18.2-kde-64bit.iso

Mate:

sha256sum linuxmint-18.2-mate-64bit.iso

XFCE:

sha256sum linuxmint-18.2-xfce-64bit.iso

The Result has to be:

How to Verify from Windows, Mac OS X Chrome OS:

Save to the Downloads Folder:

1- linuxmint-18.2-cinnamon-64bit.iso
2- sha256sum.txt

Go to this Website:

https://md5file.com/calculator

Select SHA-256 & Select the ISO.
it will take some time to verify.
the result has to be for Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon 64bit:

d50e69a3e6d6b9d4b9cbe56cd3736cef665b708a4a2e5d9024f8eef439a91bba
linuxmint-18.2-cinnamon-64bit.iso

If didn't match try to download again.
